Use the full power of Microsoft Bing Maps on your Windows Phone!

The default maps application for Windows 8 and 8.1 is HERE Maps, which has limited coverage in some countries such as Japan, Mexico and others.

This app allows you to use Microsoft Bing Maps platform, which has very full coverage worldwide.

Key features include:

- powered by Bing Maps

- clean and simple user interface

- real-time update of your position on the map

- full scroll and zoom functions with satellite image view

- local search (currently based on Google Places)

New features coming soon include:

- additional address and local search features

Note: This app is not the same as some existing "wrapper" apps which simply provide the same Nokia HERE maps but with the default Windows Phone interface. This app provides direct access to the Bing Maps platform, providing similar mapping data to that used in Windows 8 (and also Windows Phone 7) - including countries not covered by HERE Maps.
