This GPS map as a compass application, displays your current location on a google map, providing distance measurements and bearing to any other point location you define on the rotational google map.

You save a destination map point on the Google satellite or street map, and using map as a compass behavior it will orient you to the correct heading and provide the distance between where you are and your destination point.

It can provide the way back to your car when used as a car locator, or the way to any point

you wish to navigate to on the map.

Employs a unique visual orientation technique, that uses a bubble indicator which is filled with blue as you are oriented towards your target destination map point.

Features:

Required Hardware:

This App requires your device to have a GPS receiver, digital compass and an internet connection to be effective.

Before purchasing this App, we highly recommend you download a free compass and GPS app such as "GPS Test", which will confirm your device has a functioning GPS receiver, and digital compass.

Be aware the orientation accuracy is dependent on the accuracy of your internal GPS receiver and its digital compass. If the GPS receiver is not giving you an accurate location , the orientation vector will be off.

With out an internet connection you will not have map data in view, since this app uses the google maps api.

How it works:

There are three buttons along the bottom of the screen.

The button marked "S" saves your current gps location as a red map pin target point.

The button marked "D" deletes and clears any map pin points that can be or are currently displayed.

The button marked "W" creates and connects the blue map pin point the target destination point.

For instance to save your parking spot location, click the "S" button, to find your way back later on, click the "W" way back button.

The blue map pin point is then connected to the active target point.

Holding the device flat in the palm of your hand, observe that as you turn yourself in the correct direction the blue bubble fills in, when it's all blue you're heading in the right direction.

Tapping on other than the buttons on the screen, will allow you to add a target map pin any where on the map. This is helpful if you would like to orient yourself towards a building or place on the map, as shown in the screen shot where the user is in a park and would like to be oriented in the direction of the "T" Transit Station.

Tapping on the blue map pin, which is also your current location, will provide bearing and distance to the target point or place.
