Kirana is a simple grocery list app designed for the multilingual user.In Kirana, a grocery item may be referred to by more than one name. It has an in-built database of grocery items having English as well as native language names.This allows you to add an item to your shopping list using your native language in addition to its regular English name.Currently the database supports Hindi and is targeted towards shoppers from Indian Subcontinent.Database:The database includes over 500 items of average Indian’s daily grocery shopping including spices, oils, grains, fruits, vegetables, sweets, with both English & popular Indian names.As a result it can also serves as a ready reference for language translation of grocery items.The database is highly customizable and designed keeping your shopping needs in mind:- You can add / edit names, define a preset quantity (or let it pick from your purchase history).- You can keep notes on specific items you are researching (like shampoo brands), and quickly refer to them during shopping (with a touch and hold gesture).Shop Mode:There is Shop-mode designed for ease of use in the grocery store:- Mark items as purchased, or unavailable- See at a glance a summary of purchased vs total items in your list- Shop mode also keeps your list items protected from accidental erasure.Themes:Customize the look of your app using in-built themes.History:Kirana supports two useful features that help you refer to your old purchases:- Item History: For each item, see record of up to 5 past purchases. This info is available in the item’s page in the database and is easily erased using “Erase History” option.- Old Lists Archive: The is archive of your earlier shopping lists ordered chronologically. You can browse these for your reference.Free Mode:In free mode you can have up to 10 items in cart at a time. You have 3 themes available to choose from.Full Mode:No restriction on number of items in cart. You have all themes available. Any future premium features are free.
