You can hold a maximum of five lives at a time, and each time that you play a stage, you use up a life. However, if you beat the stage, you will earn a free life as a reward for beating it.

If all of your lives have run out, normally, you will have to wait for them to come back. If you don't want to wait, though, you can simply go to the date and time settings on your phone or device, and set the time ahead. Set it ahead by 20 minutes per amount of lives lost. So set it ahead 100 minutes for a full restoration of an empty life bar.

Plus, if you set the time back to normal, you will keep all of those extra lives that you gained by doing this cheat. In other words, you can do the time cheat as many times as you want without having to set the time many hours or days ahead and order to keep the cheat going, or worrying about your automatic life restoration timer stalling after you finish doing the cheat.
