New version of my location app. Written directly in Java, old version uses intermediary tool Corona SDK.

Functionality is basically the same, I added field displaying number of GPS satellites that your device sees. My app works only on devices equipped with GPS.

There are three buttons.

Map - locks displayed Latitude / Longitude and shows it on the Google Maps so you can check if it is correct.

SMS - allows you to send displayed Latitude / Longitude formatted as a Google Maps url to your friends.

Unlock - unlocks displayed position allowing it to be updated.

Typical usage is as follows.

1. Turn on GPS in your device.

2. Launch the app.

3. Wait until the app receives GPS data. Waiting time depends on your device and whether some other app used GPS recently, it is about 3 - 15 seconds.

4. Touch Map button which will lock the current displayed position and will launch Google Maps app or a web browser.

5. When you checked that displayed position is correct touch SMS button which will allow you to send SMS containing displayed Latitude / Longitude formatted as a Google Maps url.

5.1. If locked position is incorrect press Unlock button and go to point 3.
