Key features that separate HyprKey from other password tools:

1. The HyprKey browser extension is not native to any specific user, and can be opened anywhere in the world to allow you a seamless and secure login.

2. The HyprKey app has no limit on the quantity of accounts you can add or log into at once. For example, I can login to HyprKey and then log into multiple accounts all at once, with just a few taps on my device screen.

3. If you lose your device containing the HyprKey app, you can terminate the account easily. Simply log onto www.hyprkey.com/deactivate and request an instant account termination.

4. HyprKey is intended to allow universal keychain access across iOS, Android, Windows, OSX, FireFox, Chrome, Safari, and even Internet Explorer - without the need to own anything but your device with the HyprKey app installed.

The HyprKey password manager app browser extension takes the act of authentication and moves it to the cloud, by splitting a user password into multiple keys. Your app contains one key, and the cloud contains the other key. When you scan the browser extension QR code, you signal the app to request your credentials from the cloud.

We’ve kept privacy in mind to the fullest degree. Your usernames and passwords are not stored on your device, in the app, or in the browser. This information is encrypted and split up between your device and our secure cloud infrastructure. Information required for login is not decrypted until you log in with the app and request a login for the browser extension.

All passwords are encrypted with AES 256 encryption and stored on the HyprKey cloud. Your master encryption key is derived from a secret sharing algorithm that requires several secrets to be combined in order to retrieve it.

These keys are split up and located in different secure locations on the cloud as well as on the user's device. HyprKey never has the ability to decrypt your credentials without your authorization.

All HyprKey servers and software follow security best practices through the deployment of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, denial-of-service prevention systems, and various other high-level security features.

For our software, we follow best practices including all Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) recommendations and follow the Application Security Verification Standard (ASVS) recommendations.

The HyprKey server alone does not have the ability to decrypt credentials.
