ABOUT HUMAN RIGHTS ART & FILM FESTIVAL: The Human Rights Arts & Film Festival aims to shed light on the human condition through the directorial lens of award-winning filmmakers, the creative minds of emerging artists, and conversations with human rights and screen experts. With high profile documentaries (‘Ai WeiWei’, ‘Ivory Tower’, ‘Difret’), retrospective cult dramas (‘Do the Right Thing’) and new artistic collaborations (including Indigenous Australian artist Christian Thompson and Kurdish sculptor Rushdi Anwar) featured in the slate, this year’s festival will challenge contemporary views on human rights in unexpected ways. Through our industry partnerships and relationships, we connect our audiences to organisations working in the social justice space; empowering and inspiring them to become changemakers - during the festival and beyond.SPONSORSCity of MelbourneBankmecuThe GuardianThe Australian Centre for Moving Image (ACMI)Australian Ethical InvestmentXanadu WinesMornington Peninsula ShirePlan AustraliaOxfamAustralian Volunteers InternationalAmnesty InternationalThe Castan Centre for Human Rights LawThe US ConsulateFerve TicketingInkahootsMethod StudiosPuntHillAsha Holmes PublicityScreenWestScreenTerritoryANU College of Arts and Social SciencesFor a full list of media, industry and community partners see www.hraff.org.au/partners
