The Home Care Association of Florida is the premiere trade association for the home care sector in Florida. HCAF, formerly Associated Home Health Industries of Florida, was founded in January 1989 and is a non-profit association dedicated to serving Florida home care providers and their vendors. HCAF exists to provide representation, communication and advocacy for these providers, and to give them the information they need to deliver high quality, cost effective services to patients and clients in their home.HCAF represents both non-profit and for-profit home health care providers, including:Medicare-certified home health agenciesPrivate duty agencies and nurse registriesHome medical equipment businessesRelated businesses that provide services to providers listed aboveThe Association offers a full array of educational, government affairs assistance and representation, training, networking and membership services. HCAF's Board of Directors directs the activities of the Association along with its active committees and membership.Each year, HCAF hosts an Annual Conference & Trade Show featuring numerous educational sessions that offer continuing education credits and which are presented by the leading experts in home health across the nation. In addition to the Annual Conference, HCAF offers nearly 100 educational sessions each year to sharpen our members' skills and keep them up-to-date on new developments and best practices.HCAF works in cooperation with all state and federal officials and particularly with the Agency for Health Care Administration and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. In addition, HCAF is a member of the National Association for Home Care and Hospice.
