HolShare App DescriptionHolShare is an app designed to help you manage your group holidays. We've all had those holidays that require the screeds of notes, saying who paid for what or perhaps you evolved to using spreadsheets. Regardless, none of these are easy, intuitive or portable. This is where HolShare comes in. It provides a very simple, portable way to keep up to date with who paid for what and when. It gives you a running total of how much in debt or credit each person is. This gives you the option to keep things even as the holiday progresses. Someone in debt? They pick up the next bill.If you don't end up all square at the end, the app will suggest a payment plan designed to minimise the number of transactions required to rebalance the holiday. You can choose to rebalance at any point during the holiday with the rebalance payment option.Here are is a more complete set of HolShare features. Holidays--------------When creating a holiday just: * pick a name; * pick the country of the holiday; * pick the holiday start and end dates;* pick the holiday goers from your contacts; and* the holidays will be grouped by current, future and past.Payments------------Making payments is as easy as pie:* simply tap the face of the person making the payment;* enter a description;* enter the amount;* mark as a re-balance of you want to even up;* check the people sharing the payment; and* if you want change the country or payment date. You can also view a full history of payments split by date. Sharing -----------Obviously there is no point taking the time to enter the payments if you can't share your efforts. Well, you have a few options:* sending an email with: - PDF summary of holiday; - suggested payments to re-balance; - exchange rates used on the holiday; - final balances; and - an Excel/Numbers compatible CSV file of all payments.* send text updates; and* print the PDF summary.Multi-currency------------------A great wee feature of HolShare is that when you are going away, you can freeze the exchange rates at the rate you got when ordering your cash. If you forget (but you still have an internet connection) HolShare will get a realistic exchange rate from the internet for you. If you don't have a connection - as your are in foreign climes, you will be offered the chance to enter it manually. It is always on you to ensure your exchange rate is correct.Payment locations------------------As a new feature, you can now let the app track your payment locations so you see them in a cool wee map. None of the location leaves the device. As it uses GPS, it should still record your location when you are in far off lands with no data connection.Support------------------As this is a one-man show and it is a free app, I am limiting myself to being available on twitter at @HolShareApp (there is a link in app) and answering emails at support@cinnamonrage.com.
