Typhoon Haiyan, known in the Philippines as Typhoon Yolanda, could be the strongest recorded tropical cyclone to make landfall, with wind speeds up to 315 km/h (195 mph).
The storm hit the Philippines on Friday morning and combined with 16 ft high walls of ocean water and continuous water levels up to 2 stories high, the country has been left devastated.
Aid has been slow and many people have gone days
without food and water. Rotting bodies dot the side of the road and much of the country's infrastructure is unusable.
The death toll is estimated anywhere from 2500 to 10000 people with countless more homeless and in need of aid.
The people of the Philippines and the other affected countries need your help.
