This software-based ear biometric technology intelligently identifies and verifies a user based on their ear shape, which is proven to be as unique as a fingerprint.

Please note that HELIX Lock Screen is a mobile implementation of the HELIX Enterprise Software Developer Kit (SDK).

Capture

The front-facing camera records images of the ear in real time (up to 60 frames per second) as you pull the phone away from your head.

Detect

HELIX pre-processes the captured images to detect the presence of an ear.

Process

The app extracts your ear from the image and generates a biometric user profile.

Verify

HELIX compares and matches ear images against other images in your user profile for authentication.
