FATMAP uses GPS to record tracks and share your location with your friends. When these features are activated, FATMAP will continue to use GPS even when the app is in the background. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

NOTE: This is currently a beta version of the Location Sharing feature. Location Sharing will not currently work if either the broadcasting or receiving device FATMAP app is in background mode. A free upgrade release with the full Location Sharing functionality is currently in development and will be available soon.
