The “Engineering Converter” App – for everybody who wants to build and convert units fast and easily!

The “Engineering Converter“ App is perfect for the daily work of an engineer.

Besides the conversion of default Base Units, the integrated “Drag-Drop-Composer” allows you to build your own Composed Units.

By using the Menu-Button at the Home-Screen, the user is able to choose the display-language. He can decide between English, German and Portuguese.

At this time, the “Engineering Converter” App offers you circa 20 Base Units and 10 Composed Units shared in about six categories. In addition to this, there is also the possibility to build your own Base Units, for example kg, and Composed Units. Every unit is attributed to the appropriate category. Besides this, you can also create new categories, which are, just like self-provided units, deletable. If you are going to delete a category, all of the containing units are moved to the system-category “Unspecified”.

Composed Units are built at the “Composer Screen” – the centrepiece of the app. For this, you have to choose an unit from the list and drag’n’drop it on top or below the fraction line. To exponentiate, just add the same unit several times to the fraction. The Drag and Drop Composer supports both Portrait- and Landscape Mode.

Label the new unit with a name and save it in a matching category. If you want to undo an entry, click the button “Reset” and it is set to its original state.

By entering a value and selection of the basic unit and the target unit, the conversion-process starts.

As an Android App the “Engineering Converter” App requires an Android Device with an API Level 8 (Android 2.2) at least.
