We're really excited about Discovering Prayer - an effective way to learn how to pray and meditate.

Here's an opportunity for you to:

- try out new ways of praying for inspiration and refreshment

- learn to meditate in a way that's safe and Christian

- motivate yourself to pray

We draw from the ancient wisdom of nuns and monks to bring you audio meditations that you can do at a time and place of your choosing. Each session is either 5, 10, 15 or 20 minutes.

You can create special time, perhaps with a cuppa, to do be with God; or you if you're short of time, you can listen to the meditations while you travel, wash up or any other repetitive activity.

How Does It Work?

It's really simple to get started with Discovering Prayer:

- take a free trial, which will offer you a choice of different types of prayer

- choose a pathway that you'd like to explore

- do some audio prayer and meditation sessions at a time that's convenient for you.

You can use the meditations each day, or just dive into them at a time that suits you. Here's some information about what's on offer now and series that are planned in the near future...

Absorbing God's Word

A simple way to listen to God, drawing on the ways of ancient Christians: 10 sessions that pray through the first chapter of the Gospel of John. Each session lasts 10 minutes, so that you can fit it into your daily routine at a time and place to suit you.

Praying with Imagination

In this series you'll use your imagination to bring Bible scenes to life: 10 meditations that focus on the 'I am' passages of the Gospel of John, for example, 'I am the bread of life'. 15 to 20 minute meditations at a time and place to suit you.

Listening to God

Take some time out to rest a while with God. In this series we'll pray together learning to be still and be more aware of God's gentle presence in our lives. 10 minute tracks at a time and place to suit you.

For busy people trying to fit in prayer when there's not much time, a series of 5 minute sessions: Morning, Noon, Evening, Walking, Anytime. These sessions are based on monastic tradition and help us to keep focused through the day. There are also five 10 minute tracks on themes such as peace, fear, mistakes and priorities which can be used at a time to suit you.
