CrimeTrackerApp was developed to help users protect themselves in the event of a serious crime or accident at the click of a button. The application uses 3G or wifi on your device to send messages to your emergency contact numbers in the event of an accident or crime.

How to Use CrimeTrackerApp:

On installing the application, you will be required to fill in a simple registration form with five emergency contact numbers along with some details about yourself. Once you have registered the CrimeTrackerApp will create two icons. The first icon will be called "CrimeTracker" and second icon will be called "Alert". The "CrimeTracker" icon will contain settings and a feedback button.

The "Alert" icon is sensitive and should only be used when you are in danger. When you click on this icon, you have 15 seconds to close it before it will activate. The app will then send a message with user location, auto call and another message with a url (containing a user profile picture, google map and crime location picture) to all the emergency numbers registered by you. The app will continue to send messages every 10 minutes to all emergency numbers until application is forced to closed from your device.

Please note that you will be charged for the messages sent from this app. Please also note that the app will continue to work as a background process if you click on “Alert” until you stop it manually by changing the settings.
