The GAME app offers ALL the board sizes which are available on a device. From 7x8 on, each board size has THOUSAND different landscapes.

Everything you need to know for OPERATING the game is taught in the tutorials. For people who like to read, here comes quite a bit of ADDITIONAL information.

"Chess Reloaded" - or CR - has a couple of properties that RESEMBLE those of chess, but are DIFFERENT at the same time. See section 1 below, "Comparison to chess".

Then there are a couple of INNOVATIVE features which can be accomplished in computerized games only. See section 2 below.

*** Section 1: Comparison to chess

* Chess is black and white only. CR uses almost ten different COLORS.

* Chess has a fixed board size (8 x 8). CR has a whole RANGE of them: from 5x6 to 13x14. The number of board sizes which are possible on a specific device depend on its screen size.

* There are six types of chessmen. CR has SEVEN types of "tankies".

* Chessmen start out on different sides of the board. Tankies gather in opposite CORNERS - in front of their CAMP.

* In chess, there is a hierarchy among the figures. In CR, there is NONE.

* In chess, all fields are basically equal. In CR, there is a COUNTRYSIDE on the board.

* The aim of chess is to capture the king. The aim of CR is to conquer the opponent's CAMP.

* Each type of chessman moves in a different way. In CR, there are only two types of movement: some tankies can move maximum TWO fields per round, the others maximum THREE.

* If chessmen hit their opponents, they move to their position. If TANKIES hit an opponent, they stay in their place.

* Chessmen drop out permanently. Tankies can COME BACK in again.

* Chess is pure strategy. CR also has a LUCK component.

*** Section 2: Innovative features

Note: all these features are maintained by the program automatically. All the user does is moving and pointing his tankies, as well as stepping through the dicing phase.

* The smallest board size offers TEN different countrysides, the second smallest ONE HUNDRED. All the others offer a THOUSAND.

* How many fields a tankie may actually move (in one round) is determined by his FUEL units.

* Each field is OWNED by one of the players. Fields can be CONQUERED or LOST.

* Ownership of fields generates VALUE POINTS.

* Fields may be CONNECTED via own fields to their camp.

* The type of connection ranges from GOOD to NOT EXISTING.

* The type of connection governs RE-FUELLING and RE-MUNITIONING.

* The number of value points governs REACTIVATION of dropped-out tankies.

* Fields which are no longer in the direct neighborhood of own tankies can become INVISIBLE.

* Good and bad luck are LIMITED.
