Chess board awareness is the ability to be aware of all the pieces and their positions. It is the ability to visualize the board and see it in your mind's eye. This is what enables top players to be able to think several moves ahead.
The Chess Board Awareness app is designed to build this skill. Pieces are placed on the chess board and then removed. The aim is to place the pieces back where they were. Simple, but addictive. As you see your success rate grow, you will return again and again for more.
Start out with being able to visualize 1 piece then move up to 8 pieces. If you like Blindfold Chess or Chess Memory Trainer, you will like this one too.
There is now an advanced mode which will allow you to visualize up to 16 pieces over a period of days, then recall it instantly. Once you know the board permanently, you will then be tested on your ability to move those pieces in your mind. You will be surprised at how much you improve!
