The Center for Effective Philanthropy (CEP) is a nonprofit organization focused on helping foundations to be higher-performing. Our mission is to provide data and create insight so philanthropic funders can better define, assess, and improve their effectiveness – and, as a result, their intended impact. CEP’s research uses original data to examine the most pressing challenges related to foundation effectiveness, from foundation transparency to beneficiary feedback. Our publications are publically-available, trusted resources that guide practice among foundation leaders and staff, while also shedding light on trends and practices within the field of philanthropy in general.
