The Brighton & Hove Taxi Trade Forum was introduced in 2010 to enable everyone in the trade to debate and discuss matters that affect not only the Brighton & Hove Taxi Trade.. but also the trade on a national basis. Never before has there been the faciltiy to discuss our local trade.

In 2011 the forum evolved to become under the local GMB Brighton & Hove Taxi Section headed by Michael Hildreth who now administers the forum. However.. you do not have to be a GMB member to join the forum. But.. you must register as a member of the forum to read & post on topic. Only regsitered members have full access to the forum. And to ensure that no spammers join you must answer a simple security question.

There is of course the usual friendly banter... and the occasional rattle is thrown out the pram... but generally the forum is extremely informative about issues that really matter to the taxi trade.

Additionally, the forum sends out regular newsmail on various matters with information coming from the Hackney Carriage Office and the police... including relevant information on road closures etc.

When we use the word taxi we mean the whole of the cab trade including both licensed hackney carriage and licensed private-hire.
