BhamNav is an interactive map of the University of Birmingham, intended for new students, lecturers and guests. It is designed to display information and routes to various buildings, using your phone's GPS. It is part of an open-source initiative to make more University-campus based navigators similar to this one, of which there are virtually none.
DISCLAIMER: This app is not recognised by the University of Birmingham, it is completely unofficial. It is a student dissertation by Adrian Shaw, supervised by Dr Tom Chothia. We are not liable for anything if you install this.
Features:
-Displays your location
-Contains a comprehensive list of popular campus buildings
-Buildings can be sorted by department, building name and building code.
-Shows information about each building, as well as images of their main entrances.
-Provides a real-time, quick and flexible route to buildings.
-Routes can be turned on and off, allowing you to browse for buildings without needing to walk there.
-Alerts and vibrates phone when you have reached your destination.
