Beauchef MagazineBeauchef Magazine es la revista de Ingeniería y Ciencias de la Universidad de Chile publicada por la Facultad de Ciencias Físicas y Matemáticas (FCFM). Su principal propósito es ser un puente entre el mundo académico y profesional de la Universidad con el público general, a través de la cobertura de los más recientes temas en ciencia, tecnología e ingeniería que se están desarrollando al interior de sus aulas y laboratorios. Al mismo tiempo pretende ser un canal de encuentro y reencuentro para sus egresados que se encuentran en Chile y el mundo.FCFM – U. de Chile es una institución dedicada a la enseñanza superior y al desarrollo de las ciencias básicas, las ciencias de la ingeniería y las aplicaciones tecnológicas. Actualmente, ofrece la carrera de Ingeniería Civil en nueve especialidades (biotecnología, química, civil, ciencias de la computación, eléctrica, industrias, matemática, mecánica y minería), la carrera de Geología, tres licenciaturas en ciencias (astronomía, física y geofísica) y más de 30 programas académicos de postgrado. Su trayectoria, resultados y compromiso con la excelencia la ubican dentro de las mejores Facultades de Ingeniería de Latinoamérica.Beauchef MagazineBeauchef Magazine is a sciences and engineering journal published by the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (FCFM for its acronym in Spanish) of the Universidad de Chile. Its main purpose is to serve as a bridge between the university academic and professional spheres, and the general public. It does so by covering the topics and latest news on science, technology and engineering that reflect what is currently going on in the FCFM classrooms and research labs. It also intends to be a channel for alumni both in Chile and around the world to stay in touch with their faculty as well as with each other.FCFM is an institution devoted to higher education, the advancement of basic and engineering sciences, and the developing of related technological applications. It currently imparts a professional track in engineering with nine specializations (biotechnology, chemical, civil, computer science, electrical, industrial, mathematical, mechanical and mining engineering), an undergraduate program in geology, three bachelor’s degrees in science (astronomy, geophysics and physics) and more than thirty graduate degrees in science and engineering.
