Children who grow up in a multi-lingual environment not only have a much easier time learning languages but research has shown that they perform better in school overall. The key is that they never form a strong bond between an object and the name of that object in a given language, they realize from the start that an object can be called many different names. Babyglot provides the multilingual platform that introduces the child to 3 different languages of your choice through familiar objects.

i. Gets children started with the English language, German language, French language, Spanish language, Italian language and other languages you might choose to add on your own.

ii. Allows you to record your own voice over the provided default voice so that the child can hear mom’s voice or dad’s voice, or grandma’s voice for languages you choose.

iii. Allows you to easily add any new language you choose.

iv. Designed for children from 2 to 10 but older children and adults can benefit from using it too.

Babyglot explained

Upon launch the app greets the user with “hello ” where the word hello is spoken and written in the language that the user has chosen as the default language. Eight categories of objects are presented on the main screen – inside each category there are multiple images with overlaid semi-transparent boxes that identify the areas in which the user can tap or click. When the user taps the image of the lion a larger image of the lion appears, the word lion is spelled out in 3 different languages and the sound of the default language is played automatically. The user can tap on each language to hear the word annunciated in that language.
