John Allen the owner of Autobase started his association with BMW in 1988 working for Western Counties BMW Main Dealer in Portwall Lane, Redcliffe Bristol. This was part of the Dick Lovett Group, a well known BMW Dealer. He worked there for 10 years, also running the New Car Pre-Delivery department at their Swindon Branch.
Leaving Dick Lovett in 1998, he then worked for Clayton Cars, one of Bristols longest running BMW specialists. After nearly 2 years working there he then moved on to Wellsway BMW Main Dealer in Bath. After working for them for another 2 years he left to start Wheelbase BMW Specialists in Fishponds Bristol.
After building it into one of Bristols main BMW/Mini Specialists, he has now opened Autobase in Chipping Sodbury providing North/East Bristol with a local BMW/Mini workshop with a trained Specialist that has well over 20 years experience with BMW's. He is one of Bristols longest serving technicians.
Autobase use Autologic BMW Diagnostic Equipment which are world leaders in BMW Diagnostic equipment and is only bettered by BMW themselves, although some would say autologic is better in some cases!
