This Serious Game has been developed in the course of a Bachelor's Thesis in Computer Sciences at the Technical University Munich (Germany) greatly supported by the collaboration of the Chair for Applied Software Engineering of Prof. Bernd Brügge, Ph.D. and the Department for Bioinformatics and Computational Biology of Prof. Dr. Burkhard Rost.

4bases intention is to convey the process of DNA sequencing in a funny and entertaining way. Further challenging mini games will be added in the future, whereas each of them will represent a lesson of the whole DNA sequencing process.

Included is a small library allowing the players the possibility to follow their curiosity and learn more about biological topics; however, this is not required and completely optional; if preferred, players can just focus on enjoying the mini games.
